Donkey Day with 4-H Club

Al l of us at Crossroads Donkey Rescue would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Sharon Powell and the J & D Outlaw 4H Club for their generous donation. We appreciate that they thought to include our organization in their fundraising endeavors.

Last August the 4-H group all came, children and adults alike, to visit the rescue donkeys housed here in Dimondale. I must admit when I saw all those cars coming up my driveway and all those people getting out. I felt a bit overwhelmed. But, I need not have worried because they all were a great group and all the children were so well behaved around the donkeys. I was bombarded with lots of great questions. I hope I answered them all. The kids were so good with the donkeys, I even let them take one of my geldings, Moe, of course loved all the attention. I think he thought they were only here to see him.

Once again, thanks to all that participated in the day. I hope that all who came to visit enjoyed the day with the donkeys. I know I certainly did. Many thanks to my friend, Jan Kelley, for dropping what she was doing so she could help me with all the guest. I t was a fun-filled day for all.
